From Surya and Trisha to the makers of the film, everyone had said May 14 as the release date. Tickets were also booked on the online ticketing platform for May 14. In fact, even Thalapathy Vijay who has become the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu had given permission for the morning show. However, the film could not be released on 14 May.
