Mumbai Musician AR Rahman reached the residence of legendary singer Asha Bhosle in Mumbai to pay her last tribute to her. Asha Bhosle died on Sunday in Mumbai at the age of 92, ending an era in Indian music. Dr Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital confirmed that the veteran singer was suffering from multiple health issues and died due to organ failure. Her son Anand Bhosle confirmed the news and shared the details of the funeral, saying, “My mother passed away today. His last tribute is being paid at Casa Grande in Lower Parel at 11 am on Monday.

Son Anand Bhosle said that the last rites of singer Asha Bhosle will be performed at Shivaji Park at 4 pm on Monday. As soon as the news of his demise spread on Sunday, many well-known personalities from the world of cinema and politics reached his Mumbai residence to pay their last respects. Among those who visited her home were Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar and veteran actress Shabana Azmi. He was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday evening due to extreme fatigue and chest infection. The veteran singer’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle had earlier issued a statement on social media confirming her hospitalization and requested to maintain privacy for the family. He had said that my grandmother Asha Bhosle is admitted in the hospital due to extreme fatigue and chest infection. He is undergoing treatment and hopefully everything will be fine. Known for her amazing singing ability and versatility, Asha Bhosle has given countless evergreen songs to Indian cinema for many decades. His most popular songs include Dil Cheez Kya Hai, Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Mera Kuch Saaman and Chura Liya Hai Tumne.
