Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC— British premium motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles has launched its most exclusive and limited edition bike Speed Twin 1200 TFC in the Indian market, just a day after the official announcement globally. The company has listed it on its official Indian website with a price of ₹20,99,000 (ex-showroom, India). This motorcycle is only the fifth bike in the company’s history to receive the Triumph Factory Custom (TFC) badge, which is produced in extremely limited numbers.

Based on Speed Twin 1200RS: What’s special about it?
This flagship motorcycle is basically based on the recently updated Speed Twin 1200RS, but the TFC Edition gets a number of premium upgrades to enhance track and street performance. Only 750 units of this motorcycle will be sold worldwide, and each bike will have its unique production number. Indian dealers have opened the booking and inquiry window for this exclusive racer.
Talking about hardware, compared to the standard model, its weight has been reduced by 2 kg to 214 kg (wet weight), for which carbon-fibre bodywork and lightweight components have been used extensively. The bike has a signature obsidian gold and marble-gold striped fuel tank, which makes its premium look completely different.
Power, performance and sporty riding position
The Speed Twin 1200 TFC gets the company’s famous 1,200cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This engine is capable of generating maximum power of 105hp at 7,750rpm and peak torque of 112Nm at 4,250rpm. To improve speed and rider control, it has been provided with clip-on handlebars, which provide the rider a more aggressive and sporty riding triangle compared to the single-piece bar of the standard RS model.
Premium Hardware and Electronics Updates
- Suspension: It gets fully adjustable gold-finished Öhlins upside-down (USD) forks at the front and twin piggy-back Öhlins shock absorber setup at the rear.
- Braking System: Braking duties are handled by a new Brembo MCS adjustable brake lever paired with top-spec Brembo Stylema calipers at the front.
- Exhaust: The company has provided twin Akrapovič titanium mufflers in the bike, which not only reduce the weight but also give a powerful sound to this parallel-twin engine.
- Rider Aids: Features like three customized riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS and Triumph Shift Assist (Quickshifter) for quick gear shifts come standard.
official statement
“The Speed Twin 1200 TFC is the pinnacle of our Modern Classic portfolio. It is not just a motorcycle but a collector’s edition, where we have combined the best of engineering, premium carbon-fibre materials and track-ready hardware like the Akrapovich exhaust without any compromise.”

Market impact and delivery timeline
It doesn’t directly compete with any other modern-classic at this price in the Indian market, but in terms of price, it competes with some of the recently launched premium sports bikes from Kawasaki and BMW. Since only a very limited number of units are being sent to India out of this 750 allotment, their booking has been started on ‘first come, first serve’ basis. The display model is expected to be seen at official Triumph showrooms in metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru by the end of this month.
