Triumph Tiger Sport 800 motorcycle revealed, expected to replace Tiger 850 Sport

TriumphTriumph has unveiled the Tiger Sport 800 motorcycle and it is expected to replace the Tiger 850 Sport. The motorcycle is powered by a new 798cc, 3-cylinder engine that produces 115hp of maximum power and 850Nm of peak torque. This simply means that the motorcycle is more powerful than the updated Tiger 900 GT.

What's new in Tiger Sport 800?

The Triumph Tiger Sport 800 rides on 17-inch wheels both front and rear. This is a change from the wheel setup of the Tiger Sport 850, which featured a 19-inch wheel at the front. Talking about tire profile, we get 120/70-ZR17 (front) and 180/55-ZR17 (rear) profile tires from Michelin.

Talking about suspension, this motorcycle has a 41mm USD fork and monoshock which is manufactured by Showa. The motorcycle is on a perimeter frame. Both the suspensions can be adjusted as per the requirement of the rider.

Talking about brakes, Triumph Tiger Sport 800 has dual disc brake (310mm) at the front and 255mm disc brake at the rear. The tank size of the motorcycle is 18.6-litres and it is quite big. The bike weighs 214 kg (with full tank).

Talking about the electronics of Tiger Sport 800, it has three riding modes – Sport, Road and Rain. It also has cruise control, bidirectional quickshifter, traction control and dual-channel ABS. The bike also has a six-axis IMU. The display of the Tiger Sport 800 is similar to that of the Daytona 660/Tiger Sport 660.

The Tiger Sport 800 will be offered in yellow, blue, black and gray color options. Buyers will get many accessories from the company which will fit the bike. It is expected that after its international launch, this bike will also be launched in India.
