Trouble looms over ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ before its release, Vashu Bhagnani accuses David-Varun of theft

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ has come into controversy even before its release. Let us tell you, Bollywood film producer Vashu Bhagnani has made serious allegations against the film’s director and Varun Dhawan’s father David Dhawan, calling him a thief. After this allegation, their old friendship now seems to be stuck in legal trouble. Not only this, producer Vashu Bhagnani has also made some shocking revelations during a press congress.

Loss of Rs 27 crore

Recently the trailer of the film ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ has been released, after which this controversy has arisen. During the press congress, Vashu Bhagnani accused David Dhawan and said "I shared this idea with David that I wanted to make a sequel to ‘Biwi No. 1’. But after making ‘Coolie No. 1’ we suffered a loss of Rs 27 crore. I was a producer in name only. At that time, David handled everything from production to other expenses."

Bhagnani further said "But I still gave David Rs 70 crore for the film, which he did not even deserve. During that time, Covid was a difficult time, for which David told me that whatever loss has been caused, we will see it later. Now let’s start work on ‘Biwi No. 1’." Vashu Bhagnani told that due to this he worked on the film ‘Biwi No. 1’ for 6 months but one day Rohit Dhawan told him that the script was not ready yet. That’s why he also did not hurry.

‘Chunari Chunari’ song stolen

Vashu Bhagnani further said "It was during this film that I called David Dhawan and shared ‘Chunari Chunari’ from the song ‘Biwi No. 1’ with him. But after 3 months I came to know that Ramesh Taurani and David Dhawan are making a film together, hearing which I felt very bad. But what could I do? Accusing David Dhawan of theft, the producer told that he had shared ‘Chunari Chunari’ with David. He took that song in his film without asking me. After this I also asked him how could he do this?
