New Delhi: If you have two Pages on Facebook with the same name and purpose, you can now merge them. The process of merging pages is beneficial for people who are working on the same brand or topic. Merging increases the reach and popularity of a Page because the followers and check-ins of both Pages are combined.

Requirements for merging Facebook pages

1. Name and purpose should be the same: The name and purpose of both the pages should be the same. If the names are different, one page must be renamed before the merge. 2. Address matching: If pages are linked by physical location, their addresses must be the same. 3. Same Business Manager Account: Both Pages must be operated under the same Business Manager account.

Limitation for merging

  • Global pages cannot be merged.
  • Verified pages cannot be merged with unverified pages.
  • The page to be merged must not be the primary page in Business Manager.
  • Pages with task access cannot be merged.
