Truck overturns on moving car in Bundi, Rajasthan, four people killed

A horrific road accident took place on NH-52 Silor Overbridge in Bundi district of Rajasthan. According to the information, the tire of a dumper truck loaded with gravel burst, due to which the truck lost control. The uncontrolled truck first collided with a crane and then crossed the divider and fell on a Hyundai Creta car moving in front. In this collision, the car was completely buried under gravel and the five people in it got trapped.

ASP Uma Sharma said that due to the collision with the trailer, both the vehicles overturned in the opposite lane. Four people died on the spot in the accident, while one injured person is undergoing treatment. The accident happened with four brothers from Tonk district, who were going to Kota to attend the birthday celebration of their maternal cousin. A pleasant family outing turned into a horrific incident.

Local police and rescue teams reached the spot and carried out an hour-long operation with the help of cranes and JCB, removed the bodies and sent them to Bundi District Hospital. All four were declared dead as soon as they reached the hospital. Police officials said that there were a total of five people in the car, all of whom were residents of Tonk and members of the same family. As soon as his car reached Silor bridge, the tire of the gravel-laden trailer coming from Jaipur towards Kota burst.

The uncontrolled truck went into the wrong lane and overturned directly on the car. Immediately after the accident, a huge crowd gathered on the highway, due to which the traffic was completely jammed. Sub-divisional Magistrate Laxmikant Meena said that a crane was used to remove the car from under the dumper. The relatives of the deceased have been informed about the incident and the police is conducting a detailed investigation into the accident. Sadar police station has seized the illegal dumper from the spot.

Seeing the seriousness of the accident, the people present at the spot and the local administration remained engaged in relief and rescue work. Officials have appealed to the people to exercise caution at the accident site and cooperate on the route until the investigation is completed.
