Its approval has been received in October 2025. Users are likely to get this facility by April 2026.

After getting approval in October, live testing for CNAP has also started from the month of November. Now it is being rolled out on different networks. Telecom companies have started the trial of CNAP from last month but it is being started only on selected networks so that its performance can be closely observed in real conditions. The trial is currently being run for 4G and 5G phones. If it is successful then later the old networks will also be connected. TRAI asked smartphone companies to now start providing CNAP support on new phones.
