Iran called Trump’s 48-hour threat as madness, it is open to these countries

Tension in West Asia has now reached a dangerous point, where the war of words between America and Iran has turned into open threats. When US President Donald Trump gave a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz, in response Tehran also made it clear that if there is any attack now, the whole world will have to pay the price for it.

Donald Trump clearly said on ‘Truth Social’ that ‘If Iran does not completely open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours without any threat, then the United States will attack its various power plants and completely destroy them.’ That means, if Hormuz is not completely opened within 48 hours, America will destroy Iran’s power plants.

How did Iran respond to this threat?

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian bluntly said that ‘threats and terror do not weaken our resolve, but strengthen it further.’ He also made it clear that Hormuz is open to everyone, but not to enemies.

Is the State of Hormuz completely closed?

Iran clearly said that this route is open only to others except ‘enemy countries’. Iran’s representative in the International Maritime Organization said that the ships which follow the safety rules will be allowed to pass.

Was an American fighter jet attacked?

Iran claimed that it intercepted and targeted an American F-15 fighter jet near Hormuz. However, information about damage and casualties has not been revealed yet.

Had American jets been attacked before also?

Earlier, an F-35 fighter jet was also attacked, which had to make an emergency landing. This was the first time that Iran targeted such an advanced American aircraft.

Of course, Hormuz is the world’s most important sea route, through which about 20% of oil and gas passes. As tensions over this increased, oil prices in the global market reached $110 per barrel.
