US President Donald Trump wrote on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, ‘The talks between America and Iran in the last two days have been very positive and its purpose is to end the long-running enmity between the two countries. Following these discussions, I have instructed the Department of War (Pentagon) not to attack power plants and energy targets in Iran for the next five days. The atmosphere of talks has been positive and constructive and this discussion will continue in future also.

However, he also made it clear that the decision to postpone the attacks would depend on the success of further talks. In fact, Trump had threatened Iran two days ago that if the Hormuz Route was not opened within 48 hours, he would launch a major attack on Iran’s power plant.
