New Delhi: Debate has intensified around the world regarding the files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has once again clearly denied any connection with Epstein. Trump says that he has been completely acquitted in the investigation and he has nothing to hide.
Speaking to reporters, Trump claimed that he has been cleared of any wrongdoing. He alleged that the Democrats hoped that something would come out against him in the investigation, but the result was contrary to their claims.
I have nothing to hide – Trump
While talking to the media, Trump said, "I have nothing to hide. I have been acquitted. I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. The Democrats were hoping that they would get something but got just the opposite."
Trump reiterated that the investigation could not link his name to any wrongdoing and he has been given a completely clean chit.
Direct attack on Democrats
Trump also claimed that Jeffrey Epstein was against his political ambitions. He said, "Jeffrey Epstein was fighting to ensure that I was not elected along with some writer, a vile human being."
While talking to reporters, Trump mentioned former President Bill Clinton and other political figures. He said, "It’s really interesting because they have been dragged. Think about it. Clinton and many other Democrats have been dragged."
Hillary Clinton’s counterattack
According to the report, Hillary Clinton claimed that she and her husband were being dragged into the Epstein case to divert attention from Trump. However, Trump denied this allegation.
He said, "They are being dragged and this is their problem. I do not know. They will have to see what happens. But I saw him in Munich and he really has Trump derangement syndrome."
Epstein died in federal custody in 2019
Jeffrey Epstein died in federal custody in 2019. At that time he was awaiting trial on serious charges of sex trafficking.
