Trump’s claim amid Middle East tension – Iran is completely destroyed, doors open for discussion
Washington, March 28. US President Donald Trump said that Iran has become very weak and now talks are going on. He also claimed that America has achieved major success on the military front. He said these things while talking to reporters at the White House and in a speech given in Miami. After disembarking from Air Force One, Trump told reporters, “Iran is getting weaker. Now we are in talks between the two. They want to make a deal. Our military is the most powerful in the world.”
He indicated that Iran had agreed to talks due to US pressure, although he did not give any information about how and for how long the talks would last. In a separate address at the ‘Future Investment Initiative Priorities Summit’ in Miami, Trump presented his assessment of the situation and described Iran as significantly vulnerable to US military operations. “We are destroying Iran’s weapons stockpile, destroying their missile and drone factories on a scale no one ever thought possible, and completely destroying their defense industrial base,” he said.
Trump said that Iran’s military capability has suffered huge damage. According to him, Iran’s navy is almost destroyed, its air force is completely ineffective and its air defense and communication system is also broken. He also claimed that many big leaders of Iran have been killed and the country’s top leadership is no longer the same as before. Describing this entire operation as a big success, Trump said that America has achieved its military goals ahead of schedule. “We have accomplished the targets we set four weeks ago, two weeks ahead of schedule,” he said.
He also said that due to pressure, Iran has been forced to negotiate and is trying to reach a compromise. Trump linked the military operation to broader strategic goals, including preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons and reshaping regional security equations. “As President of the United States, I will never allow the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism to acquire nuclear weapons,” he said. Overall, Trump says that Iran has been weakened by continuous military action and that is why the path to talks is now open.
