Trump’s election masterstroke: Emphasis on the strength of the economy in the State of the Union… Effort to woo voters

Washington: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday began his ‘State of the Union Address’ in Parliament in which he is expected to announce that his policies will boost employment and domestic manufacturing.

The purpose of Trump’s announcement will be to convince American citizens that the economy is strong and they should vote for a similar economy by supporting the Republicans in the mid-term elections to be held in November. When Trump, wearing a long red tie and blue suit, arrived to deliver a speech in the House, Republican lawmakers chanted “USA, USA”.

Most of the Democrats remained sitting in their places without clapping. Some MPs of the party registered their protest by not attending the speech. “This is truly a massive change for the ages,” Trump said at the start. Parts of Trump’s speech, released by the White House before the start, said Trump would pledge that, “Moving forward, factories, jobs, investment and trillions of dollars will continue to come to America.”
