Trump’s plane ‘Air Force One’ malfunctioned as soon as it took off, Davos visit cancelled?

US President Donald Trump had left to attend the World Economic Forum to be held in Davos, Switzerland. But shortly after takeoff, an electrical fault occurred in his special plane Air Force One.

According to the White House, keeping security in mind, the plane was immediately returned to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, so that the President could travel on another plane without any risk. White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt clarified that President Trump’s visit to Davos has not been canceled. He said that only the plane has been changed due to a technical fault and the President will leave for Switzerland in a new plane.

This time many big faces of the world are going to attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) to be held in Davos, Switzerland. Veteran leaders and industrialists like JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon, US President Donald Trump and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will reach Davos.

Donald Trump visited Davos in the year 2020 during his first term. After this, he himself is reaching there for the first time this year. Last year, he addressed the White House virtually just a few days after returning, which created quite a stir. This time, America’s “largest delegation” so far will go to Davos with Trump.

According to WEF organizers, this year around 3,000 leaders from different sectors will participate in Davos. These will include a record 400 political leaders, 850 CEOs of big companies and 100 technology leaders.

However, the government of an important country will distance itself from this meeting. Representatives of the Danish government will not come to Davos. WEF spokesperson said that Denmark has taken this decision due to increasing dispute regarding Greenland. This controversy deepened when Trump announced the imposition of new tariffs on European countries.

Many big names will not be seen in Davos this time. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was scheduled to come, but later it was confirmed that he would not come. Chinese President Xi Jinping is also not in the WEF list. Apart from this, top leaders of Brazil and India are also not included in the list.
