Trump’s sharp attack on Iran: ‘Surrender, otherwise there will be more destruction’, fueled rumors of Supreme Leader Mujtaba’s death.
Washington: US President Donald Trump has warned Iran to surrender directly. He said that Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei is probably not alive. Trump ruled out any possibility of immediately stopping the war regarding the ongoing violence in the Middle East. In a telephone interview, Trump openly said that even though Tehran is trying to end hostilities, he is not happy with the current conditions. He stressed that any deal must be “firm and strong” otherwise it will not work.
Big doubt on Supreme Leader’s health
Trump recently raised serious questions on the condition of Mujtaba, who took over the post after the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. When Mujtaba was not seen in public, Trump said, “I don’t know whether he is alive or not. No one has even seen him yet.” He further said that there are rumors that Mujtaba is no more in this world, and if he is alive then he should show wisdom in the interest of the country—i.e. surrender. Let us tell you that Pete Hegseth had claimed on Friday that in the recent attacks, Mujtaba has been badly injured and perhaps even disfigured. According to Hegseth, Iranian leaders are “scared, hurt, and without legitimacy.”
Kharg Island turned into ruins
Referring to the US military attacks, Trump said that Iran’s important oil export hub Kharg Island has been completely destroyed. However, he added that the energy facilities were not badly damaged, so that repairs could be done quickly. Trump jokingly said, “We have ruined it. We can do some more attacks if we feel like it.” Also, he claimed that America has destroyed most of Iran’s missiles and drones, due to which their production capacity has been badly affected.
Demand for warships in the Strait of Hormuz
Trump appealed to many countries to send their warships here to protect the Strait of Hormuz. Especially taking the names of Britain, China, France, Japan and South Korea, he said that all of them are affected, hence play an active role. Trump seemed unconcerned about its impact on the upcoming elections—saying, “I’m not worried at all.” He says that all this strategy is only for the security of the Middle East, so that Iran can never occupy this area again.
