Ingredients required to make Soya Kofta
For Kofta Balls:
- Soybean: 1/2 cup (soaked and ground)
- Potato: 2 (boiled and mashed)
- Cheese: 100 grams (grated)
- Green chilly: 2 (finely chopped)
- Ginger: 1 inch (grated)
- coriander leaves: 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Gram flour: 2-3 tbsp
- garam masala: 1/2 tsp
- chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
- coriander powder: 1 tsp
- turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Salt: as per taste
- Oil:to fry
For gravy:
- Onion: 2 (finely chopped)
- Tomato: 2 (finely chopped)
- Garlic: 2 buds (grated)
- Ginger: 1 inch (grated)
- Green chilly: 1 (finely chopped)
- coriander powder: 1 tsp
- garam masala: 1/4 tsp
- chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
- turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Salt: as per taste
- Water: 2 cups
- Oil:to roast spices
Soy Kofta Recipe
Prepare Kofta Balls:
- Prepare soybeans:
- Soak soybean in water for 10-15 minutes.
- Grind it in a mixer and make a paste.
- Make the mixture:
- In a large bowl, add ground soybean, boiled potatoes, cheese, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, gram flour and all the spices.
- Mix them well so that a thick mixture is prepared.
- Make balls:
- Make small balls from the mixture.
- Fry:
- Heat oil in a pan and fry these balls on medium flame till they turn golden.
- After frying, take out the koftas on paper towel and remove excess oil.
Prepare gravy:

- Heat some oil in a pan.
- Fry Onions:
- Add finely chopped onion and fry until light golden.
- Add spices and tomatoes:
- Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Then add finely chopped tomatoes and fry until the spices leave the oil.
- Add spices:
- Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix the spices well.
- Add water:
- After the masala is cooked, add 2 cups of water and cook till it boils.
- Add koftas:
- Put the prepared koftas in the gravy and let it cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes.

- After adding koftas to the gravy, turn off the gas.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves on top.
