Ingredients to make Vermicelli Idli:
– Vermicelli (Vermicelli): 1 cup
– Idli batter: 1 cup (homemade or from market)
– Ghee: 1 tbsp (for idli plates)
– Green chilli: 1-2 (finely chopped)
– Ginger: 1/2 tsp (grated)
– Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
– Lemon juice: 1 tsp
– Salt: as per taste
– Oil: 1 tbsp (for tempering)
– Mustard: 1/2 tsp
– Curry leaves: 8-10
– Water: 1/2 cup
How to make Vermicelli Idli
Fry the vermicelli:
1. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan.
2. Add vermicelli and fry it on low flame till light golden. Keep stirring the vermicelli regularly so that it does not burn.
3. When the vermicelli turns light brown, take it out in a plate and keep it aside.
Prepare tadka:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
2. When the mustard seeds start crackling, add curry leaves, green chillies, onion and ginger and fry for 1-2 minutes.
3. Now add half cup water and salt in it.
4. Let the water boil.

3. Prepare Vermicelli Idli Batter:
1. Now mix vermicelli and idli batter and mix well.
2. Add tadka and lemon juice to this mixture and then mix it well.
4. Process of making Idli:
1. Grease the idli mold with ghee.
2. Add the prepared vermicelli mixture into it.
3. Place the idli in a steaming pot and steam for 10-12 minutes.
4. Check the idlis, if they are soft and cooked, take them out.
5. Serving Method:
