- RSS and BJP targeted
Vande Mataram Parliament debate: New Delhi : At present, the winter session of the Parliament of the country has started. Today, the National Anthem Vande Mataram was discussed in both Houses of Parliament. The attention of the entire country was drawn to this 10-hour discussion of Vande Mataram. The discussion was organized on the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated this issue in the Lok Sabha. But he criticized the Congress’s career since pre-independence and targeted the opposition. Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav also participated in the discussion and targeted the BJP.
During the debate on “Vande Mataram” in the Lok Sabha, Samajwadi Party president and SP candidate from Kannauj Akhilesh Yadav attacked the BJP and RSS without naming them. During his speech in the House, Akhilesh said that the same “Vande Mataram” song that united the entire country during the freedom struggle is now being made a political issue by some “divisive” forces to divide the country.
Akhilesh Yadav quipped that when we listen to his speeches today, it feels as if he wrote Vande Mataram. History needs to be checked today. Some informants should be questioned. Why did he compose his own song after independence? Why didn’t they hoist the tricolor? Where were these people during the freedom struggle? Akhilesh has indirectly attacked Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
