New Delhi: The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) 2024 online application process is underway and the last date to fill out and submit the form is November 20. The Telangana state TET exam is scheduled to be conducted between January 1 to January 20, 2025.
Candidates who applied for the TG TET 2024 May or June session exam but did not clear the test and those who qualified but want to improve their marks are not required to pay the exam fee. For other candidates, the TG TET application fee is Rs 750 for one paper and Rs 1,000 for both papers.
Candidates who will qualify the exam will get a TS TET certificate. The certificate will remain valid for lifetime.
TS TET exam pattern
The TS TET comprises two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Those who want to teach in Class 1 to Class 5 need to attempt paper 1. Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach in Class 6 to Class 8. Those who want to teach in Class 1 to Class 8 need to appear for both papers. As per the TS TET marking scheme, for every correct answer, one mark will be given. No marks will be deducted for incorrect answers or questions left unanswered.
To pass the exam, the general category candidates need a minimum score of 60 per cent, while those who belong to the Backward Classes (BC) category are required to score at least 50 per cent. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Differently Abled (PH) categories, the minimum qualifying percentage is 40 per cent.
