Tu Meri Main Tera Fus Hui in front of Dhurandhar… and twenty one, makers will cry after seeing such a bad collection
The beginning of the year 2026 has been very interesting for Bollywood. Director Sriram Raghavan’s film ‘Ikkis’ was finally released in theaters on January 1, 2026. While the film was scheduled to release on Christmas, December 25, 2025, it was postponed by a week due to the dominance of Ranveer Singh’s superhit film ‘Dhurandhar’. This film is the last film of late star Dharmendra and also the debut film of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda on the big screen.
The story of the film is based on the life of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra winner Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. Arun Khetrapal displayed indomitable courage and sacrificed his life for the country in the India-Pakistan war of 1971 at the age of just 21. In the film, Dharmendra plays the role of his father, while Agastya Nanda plays Arun Khetrapal himself.

Dharmendra’s last film
Apart from this, actors like Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Deepak Dobriyal and Sikandar Kher are also seen in important roles. The film received a lot of buzz before its release, as it is a true patriotic story and being Dharmendra’s last film, it also holds emotional significance. Critics have given the film 3.5 stars. The review states that ‘Shriram Raghavan’s ‘Ikkis’ is an honest and well-made war drama’.
‘Ikkis’ collection
Now talking about the collection of the film, according to the initial estimates of Sacnilk, the film took a good start and earned around Rs 7 crore. There was some decline in the viewership on the second day and the film collected around Rs 2.77 crore. Till now the film has earned Rs 9.77 crore. The total occupancy of the film was around 12.85% on the second day. The evening show attracted the highest number of viewers, where the occupancy reached 18.96%. Talking about cities, Bengaluru had the highest number of viewers at 29.67%, while Surat had the lowest at only 2.33%. ‘Dhurandhar’ continues to dominate both multiplexes and single screens, due to which ‘Ikkis’ is facing some difficulties.
Competition at the box office with ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’
Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’ is still strong at the box office. The film was released on 5 December 2025 and even though it has been more than a month, it is still doing wonders. As per Sacnilk estimates, on Day 28: Rs 15.75 crore. On the 29th day (Rs 28.75 crores). The total collection has now reached close to Rs 747.75 crores. Apart from Ranveer Singh, ‘Dhurandhar’ stars Akshay Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. This spy thriller is drawing the audience to the theater again and again. On the other hand, Kartik Aryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic drama ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ is struggling. This film was also released on 25 December 2025, but its performance was weak, earning only Rs 50 lakh on the ninth day. After the release of ‘Ikkis’ on January 1, the shows of this film were reduced, due to which the film also stars Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta. There seems to be less interest from the audience.
