Turkey made amazing weapon… Equipped with 35 mm cannon, adept at attacking from air and land.

SARP 100/35 Weapon Turret : Türkiye’s leading defense company ASELSAN has attracted the world’s attention by adding another deadly weapon to its defense fleet. Recently the company has introduced a new trailer-mounted version of its SARP 100/35 weapon turret. The state-of-the-art system was demonstrated during a visit to the company by senior Turkish official Bayraktaroglu, which was confirmed by Defense Turk Magazine co-founder Ahmet Alemdar.

Interestingly, this system was earlier known as KORHAN. Originally it was designed to be fitted on heavy armored vehicles, but in view of the changing requirements of warfare it has now been adapted to a trailer platform. This change makes it even more flexible and useful.

impenetrable armor of permanent bases

The main objective of this trailer-based design is to protect strategically important and permanent bases. It can be easily deployed at sensitive locations such as ports, airports and military bases. Often it is not practical to park heavy armored vehicles at such places all the time. In such a situation, this trailer system works like a plug and play mode, which can be quickly moved to any place as per the need.

Strength of 35mm ATOM ammunition

The biggest strength of the SARP 100/35 is its 35 mm cannon and the ATOM programmable airburst ammunition it uses. This system is capable of destroying even the smallest drones flying in the air and low altitude air targets in the blink of an eye. The ammunition explodes in the air after reaching very close to the target. After bursting, it spreads controlled shrapnel, making it impossible for small targets like drones to escape.

Safe and smart operation

This turret is equipped with hi-tech electro-optical sensors, which provide accurate vision both during night and day. Since it is a remotely operated system, the operator does not need to be close to the hazard. They can sit at a safe distance or in a bunker, keep an eye on the enemy and aim with accuracy. This new innovation from ASELSAN is a response to the challenges of the modern battlefield where drone attacks have become a major headache.
