The groups for the 2025 FIVB Women’s World Championship, set to take place in Thailand from Aug. 22 to Sept. 7, 2025, have been announced.
Türkiye’s women’s volleyball team, known as Filenin Sultanlari, will compete in Group E alongside Canada, Bulgaria and Spain.
Türkiye’s women’s volleyball team to compete in Group E in 2025 FIVB
The Türkiye Volleyball Federation announced that the Sultans of the Net (Filenin Sultanlari) secured a seeded position in the draw and were directly placed in Group E. Türkiye’s women’s volleyball team will compete against Canada, Bulgaria and Spain in the group stage.
“The group matches are crucial. The top two teams from each group will move to the round of 16,” stated the federation.
Following the group phase, the first and second teams in each group will face each other in the round of 16. These matchups will include pairings such as Group A vs Group H and Group D vs Group E.
After the round of 16, teams will advance to the quarterfinals. Winners will progress to the semifinals, and the final matches will decide the championship on Sept. 7. Matches for third place will also be held on the same day.
