The documentary film Turtle Walker will have its world premiere at Doc NYC 2024 on November 17. Tiger Baby and Imaho Films collaborate with Oscar-winner HHMITangled Bank Studios for 'Turtle Walker' documentary. The film, set to premiere at DocNYC on November 17, tells the inspiring story of India's Father of Sea Turtle Conservation .
Turtle Walker is written and directed by Taira Maloney. This film has been produced by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, Angad Dev Singh, Vikram Maloney and Taira Maloney. Whereas, Krish Makhija is the associate director and head of cinematography. The film is co-written and edited by Sam Rogers, Isabelle Couture, James Reed, Jared Lipworth, Sean B. Carroll and Nikita Mamik are its executive producers.
Turtle Walker also recently won two major awards at the Jackson Wild Media Awards, the “Conservation” and “Grand Tents” awards. This award is the biggest honor for nature and wildlife film making and is often called the Oscars of this field.
Tiger Baby and Imaho Films in collaboration with HHMI Tangled Bank Studios have announced the world premiere of their latest film, Turtle Walker, at Doc NYC 2024 on Sunday, November 17. Turtle Walker, directed by Taira Maloney, is her debut film. In which the story of Indian Satish Bhaskar, who was at the forefront of the conservation of sea turtles, has been told beautifully. Who have spent their lives saving these beautiful but endangered animals.
In the late 1970s, Satish Bhaskar embarked on this special journey to the beautiful shores of India. He tried to live with unique sea turtles and took steps to save these sea creatures. The film was initially made by a small Independence team in Goa, India. Over the last seven years it has become an international co-production, with award-winning partners from around the world.
Taira Maloney, Founder, Imaho Films said, Satish Bhaskar had a deep curiosity about the marine world. As humans, we naturally want to discover things. This curiosity drives us to ask questions, learn, and appreciate the world around us. By bringing Satish's story to the world, we hope to inspire much-needed conversations about our oceans and encourage people to get involved in protecting and exploring them.
