TVS Orbiter V1: TVS Orbiter V1 launched in India, know features and starting price ₹ 49,999

TVS Orbiter V1 : TVS Motor Company launched the Orbiter V1 electric scooter on March 12, 2026. Its starting price is ₹ 49,999 (Ex-showroom Delhi, including PM e-Drive subsidy). The company has also introduced a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model across its entire range of electric vehicles, aimed at reducing the initial purchase expense and making electric mobility more accessible. It is available under the new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. Without BAAS, the scooter is priced at ₹84,500 with the same subsidy terms. This was announced in Lucknow and information about it was also given to Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange.

The V1 is designed for urban commuting and features a 1.8 kWh battery pack, which offers a certified IDC range of 86 km on a single charge. The scooter charges from 0-80% in around 2 hours 20 minutes, making it suitable for daily urban use.

Orbiter V1 is equipped with a number of connected and convenient features designed to enhance the riding experience.

The scooter is equipped with many technical features. The color LCD instrument cluster displays incoming calls as well as general ride information. Connectivity through a companion mobile app lets riders remotely monitor battery charge levels and odometer readings.
Security
Security features include alerts for accidents, falls, theft, geo-fencing, and time-fencing. The V1 also supports hill hold assist, cruise control, parking assist and turn-by-turn navigation.
ride mode
Two ride modes – Eco and Power – are available, each of which features regenerative braking to increase range. Over-the-air software updates mean the scooter can be upgraded without taking it to a service centre.
