Twisha wanted to return home, but was receiving threats, family revealed many secrets

Now the family of the deceased has openly expressed their views in Bhopal’s famous Twisha Sharma death case. Twisha’s brother Major Harshit Sharma and sister-in-law Rashi Sharma made many serious allegations and said that Twisha was troubled by mental pressure and torture and she wanted to return to her maternal home. The family claims that he was being prevented from doing so and was being given constant threats.

‘Twisha is being defamed’

Twisha’s sister-in-law Rashi Sharma expressed deep grief and displeasure over the matter. He said that Twisha was a very happy and loving girl, but after her death, efforts are being made to misrepresent her.

According to Rashi Sharma, the family has been fighting for justice for the last several days, but the delay in the case has increased their worries. He said that the family needed support in this time of grief, but instead Twisha’s character was being questioned.

‘Rashi revealed’

The biggest claim of the family is that Twisha wanted to return to her maternal home after being troubled by the environment of her in-laws. Rashi Sharma revealed that Twisha had expressed her problems to the family many times.

She alleged that Twisha’s mother-in-law used to threaten her that if she ever left the house, all avenues of her return would be closed. The family says that this mental pressure had broken Twisha from within.

Questions on police investigation and post mortem

Twisha’s brother Major Harshit Sharma has also raised serious questions regarding the investigation of the case. He said that many important information were wrongly recorded in the first post-mortem report, hence the family has demanded a second post-mortem.

However, he expressed satisfaction over the recommendation of a CBI inquiry by the state government. He says that this has given hope to the family that now there will be a fair investigation in the case.

Clarification on allegations of money and keys

The family also responded to the dispute over Rs 7.5 lakh and keys that came to light during the investigation. Harshit Sharma said that the money sent was for expenses related to marriage and travel. He said that if the in-laws were so supportive, then why did Twisha ask for help from the family for small needs. He also said that the story being created regarding the keys is an attempt to implicate the family.

Husband absconding, investigation ongoing

33-year-old Twisha Sharma was married to Bhopal lawyer Samarth Singh in December 2025. Just a few months after the marriage, on May 12, 2026, she was found dead under suspicious circumstances. While the in-laws are calling it suicide, the parents allege that it is a case of dowry harassment. At present, Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh is said to be absconding and the police is searching for him. Discussion regarding the matter has intensified in the entire country.
