Surat: Two friends who went to wash their hands and feet in the canal on the right bank of Kakrapar passing through the border of Antoli village of Surat district drowned. On the other hand, on getting information about the incident, the family and the police reached the spot and searched for both the friends. Meanwhile, it was found that the body of one of the two minors was found in a canal near Velanja in Kamarej.

Vasantbhai Chauhan lives with his family near Wedroad Hariom Mill in Surat. His 17-year-old son Ravi, along with his 15-year-old friend Darshan Hasmukhbhai Wagh and 4 other friends living in Katargam, had gone to visit the Mogaldham temple in Pipodara. While returning from there, Ravi and Darshan were washing their hands and feet on the banks of the canal on the right bank of Kakrapar, which passes through the boundary of Antaroli village.

When his family came to know about the incident, they also reached the spot. Meanwhile, the fire brigade and police department were informed about the incident, so they also reached the spot and searched. After a lot of searching, the body of 17-year-old Ravi was found in the canal passing near Velanja village of Kamarej. 15-year-old Darshan Wagh has not been traced till now.
