ICC Player Of The Month Nomination: On Monday, July 13, the International Cricket Council has announced the contenders for ‘Player of the Month’ for the male and female players who have performed well in the month of June. This time 2 Indian star players have been nominated in the nomination. Indian Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill’s name is included in the men’s shortlist, while in the women’s category, Team India’s spin bowler Shri Charani has been nominated.

Gill’s brilliant performance in June

Indian cricket team’s ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill batted brilliantly in the month of June. In the only test match against Afghanistan, he played many brilliant innings of 126 runs. After this, he scored 84 runs in the first match of the ODI series, then in the second ODI, Gill scored 154 runs. For this excellent performance, Gill has been included in the nomination of Player of the Month by ICC. Shri Charani’s name included in the nomination

In the women’s category, India’s young star spinner Shri Charani has been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month. 21-year-old Charani remained the highest wicket-taker till the group stage of ICC T20 World Cup 2026. He took 14 wickets in 6 matches of the tournament. Due to this excellent performance, ICC has nominated him for Player of the Month.

Who was nominated?

In the women’s category, apart from Indian spinner Shri Charani, Scotland captain Katherine Bryce and England opener Danny Wyatt-Hodge have been nominated. Katherine Bryce batted brilliantly last month in the T20 International, scoring 178 runs at a strike rate of 140.15 and also took 11 wickets. At the same time, the English opener scored 287 runs at an excellent strike rate of 151.85. Danny Wyatt-Hodge was the highest run-scorer in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. He scored 302 runs in the tournament.
