JE wielding MDA’s baton wreaks havoc; two laborers have broken arms and legs, admitted to hospital
Moradabad:- When the Moradabad Development Authority team reached the construction site in Pakbada police station area, two laborers were injured after falling from the roof after seeing the officials and a stampede broke out. The party constructing the shops alleged that the JE who reached the spot had a stick in his hand and he and his team assaulted the workers. Even though the authority officials are denying this allegation, a video of this incident on Monday went viral on social media, in which it is clearly visible that the JE has a stick in his hand. After the video went viral, the authority officials are not giving any response. The aggrieved party has filed a complaint in the police station. The police say that the entire matter is being investigated and action will be taken only after investigation.

Last Saturday, construction work of some shops was going on in front of the CNG pump in Pakbada police station area. At the same time, JE Devendra posted in Moradabad Development Authority reached the spot along with the security personnel posted in the authority. Seeing the authority officials, a stampede broke out and two employees fell from the roof and got injured. The injured workers accused JE Devendra of the authority and the security personnel of assault with sticks. The victims have also given a complaint to the police. But however the police have not registered the case yet. A video of the incident went viral on social media. An officer of the same authority says that the JEs of the authority do not carry sticks. But in the viral video, JE has a stick in his hand and is seen arguing and leaving with the stick.
Is it an action of the authority to assault the workers?
Shops were being constructed without getting the map passed from the authority. It would have been considered appropriate if the authority had taken action against the owner of the shop but it is not right to make allegations of assault on the workers working there. Before starting work, the laborer does not check whether the map of the building he is constructing is available or not, he is only concerned with his wages. Both the laborers are admitted in the hospital. One laborer will undergo leg operation.
