Two massive blasts in Peshawar, Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Taliban took responsibility for the attack.
Some gunmen attacked the headquarters of Paramilitary Force (FC) in Peshawar, Pakistan on Monday morning. According to Reuters report, as soon as the sound of firing was heard, police and security forces immediately reached the spot and surrounded the area. At the same time, many people of Peshawar wrote on social media platform X that they heard a loud sound like a bomb blast from the FC headquarters. Tehreek-e-Taliban has taken responsibility for this incident.
According to Geo TV, the Federal Constabulary (FC) headquarters in Peshawar was attacked at 8:10 am on Monday. After the incident, Sunehri Masjid Road was closed and the entire area was surrounded by security forces. According to security officials, there were two explosions in the attack and the attackers opened fire, following which there was chaos.
Police and security forces immediately cordoned off the area. Three terrorists were killed in the attack. Security sources said a suicide bomber blew himself up at the gate of the headquarters. Many users on social media have also claimed this incident.
An increase in terrorist incidents has been seen in Pakistan, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan. Earlier in November 2022, TTP had ended the peace agreement with the government and claimed responsibility for attacks on security forces, police and other officials. At the same time, in September, security forces foiled an attack on the FC headquarters in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which six soldiers were martyred and five terrorists were killed.
