Two Pakistani pilots served in PIA for many years with fake degrees, FIA revealed
Lahore: Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (PFIA) on Tuesday said two Pakistani pilots served in federal airline PIA for several years with fake degrees. The FIA said Kashan Ijaz Dodhi and Mohsin Ali were associated with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in 1995 and 2006 respectively.
The investigating agency said a case was registered against Dodhi and Ali after an audit in 2022 revealed that a large number of PIA employees were appointed on the basis of fake degrees. According to FIA, during the investigation, the degrees of both the pilots were found to be fake.

Job in PIA with fake degree
The investigating agency said that Dodhi and Ali had left PIA in 2019 and 2014 respectively. A case was initiated against the two pilots, stewardess Nazia Naheed and data operator Arif Tarar for getting jobs in PIA on the basis of fake degrees.

The four accused confessed before a special FIA court on Monday to producing fake degrees to get appointments or promotions in PIA, an official said. Justice Tanveer Ahmed Shaikh sentenced all the accused to imprisonment till the rising of the court and imposed fine of different amounts on them. (agency)
