Two completely opposite colors of weather are being seen in Bihar these days. While in one part of the state people are suffering from the heat of the sun and severe heat wave, in the other part the weather remains pleasant due to movement of clouds and rain. This situation has arisen due to the collision of moist easterly wind and dry westerly wind.
According to Meteorological Center Patna, severe heat wave will continue in 14 districts of South Bihar including the capital Patna on Saturday also. On the other hand, people living in the districts of North Bihar and Seemanchal have got great relief from the heat.
South Bihar is in trouble, severe heat wave will prevail in these 6 districts today
According to meteorologists, heat wave conditions will prevail in many districts of South and Central Bihar on Saturday. An alert has been issued regarding extreme heat especially in Aurangabad, Bhabua (Kaimur), Rohtas, Buxar, Bhojpur and Arwal districts. Strong hot winds will blow in these areas during the afternoon, due to which the temperature may increase further. Even in the capital Patna and its surrounding areas, the scorching heat accompanied by humidity and sweat will trouble people.
Thunderstorm warning in North Bihar and Seemanchal
While South Bihar is scorching with heat, the weather is pleasant in North Bihar and 7 districts of Seemanchal. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding partly cloudy sky, thunderstorm (lightning) and strong winds in different parts of Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Sheikhpura, Purnia and Katihar. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with dust storm in these districts, due to which the temperature will remain under control.
Heavy rain in Madhubani and Darbhanga, highest rainfall of 95.2 mm in Jhanjharpur.
During the last 24 hours, considerable rainfall has been recorded in many districts of North Bihar, due to which the weather there is quite mild. According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, the rainfall situation in major cities is as follows:
Madhubani (Jhanjharpur): highest in the state 95.2 mm Rain was recorded. Apart from this, there was 71 mm rainfall in Lakhanpur, 54 mm rainfall in Basopatti and 45 mm rainfall in Jaynagar.
Madhepura: 26 mm rainfall was recorded in Puraini and 20 mm rainfall was recorded in Alalnagar.
Darbhanga: Ghanshyampur received 22 mm of rain and Alinagar received 18 mm of rain.
Saharsa and Khagaria: Satraktaiya in Saharsa and Beldaur in Khagaria recorded 18-18 mm rainfall.
Dehri was hottest on Friday, temperature reached 44.8°C
On Friday, a partial drop was recorded in the maximum temperature of 18 districts including Patna, but the heat of the sun did not reduce. Dehri in Rohtas was the hottest place in the entire state at 44.8 degrees Celsius.

Weather will remain like this for next 3-4 days, chances of drizzle after May 25
According to the Meteorological Centre, no major change in weather patterns is expected in the state for the next three to four days. A partial fluctuation of one to two degrees in the maximum temperature will continue. However, it is a matter of relief that due to change in wind direction after May 25, there is a possibility of partial cloud cover and light drizzle in many parts of South and Central Bihar including Patna, only after which people will be able to get some relief from this scorching heat.
