Two Pilots Killed as Private Plane Crashes into Hill in Chhattisgarh

A chartered aircraft crashed into Ara Hill in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district on Monday, killing both pilots on board.

Officials said the incident occurred near Narayanpur police station limits. Preliminary inputs revealed the aircraft was flying unusually low, around 30 feet above the ground, when it struck a tree and went down. Visuals from the site showed a small single-engine propeller plane skimming treetop level moments before the crash.

Authorities rushed rescue teams to the spot immediately. Efforts are underway to secure the wreckage and assess the situation. Officials noted that the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, with further details awaited.

The crash has raised concerns about flight safety in the region. Investigators will examine why the aircraft was flying at such a dangerously low altitude. The incident highlights the risks faced by chartered flights operating in hilly terrain.
