New Delhi. During a live broadcast on Iran’s government TV channel, a TV anchor shot at the UAE national flag in the studio itself. During this time, a weapons trainer was also present in the studio, with whom the anchor was talking. This incident happened during a program broadcast on Iran’s ‘Ofogh’ channel on 15 May.
In the video footage that has surfaced, it can be seen that a training session on handling weapons was going on in the studio. During this, a masked trainer present in military style clothes taught the TV anchor how to load and operate the AK-47.
Immediately after this, the anchor fired a shot targeting the UAE flag. According to local media reports, these videos of TV anchors firing weapons are actually related to a nationwide campaign. This campaign has been named ‘Bet on life for Iran’.

Trainer: Align your gaze.
Presenter: Yes. Let me aim at the UAE flag.
Trainer: Excellent.
Presenter: Okay.
Trainer: Align your gaze. Hold your breath. in the name of Allah.
Presenter: In the name of Allah.
Trainer: Fire.
Presenter: Should I test it? What should I do?
Trainer: Test it.
Reports have claimed that in view of the ongoing war with America and Israel, more than 31 million Iranian citizens have so far registered themselves for this voluntary program. This training of anchors was also a part of this campaign.
Tension between Iran and UAE is increasing
In response to the attacks by America and Israel, Iran has launched several retaliatory attacks on Gulf countries in recent times. In these attacks, Iran has targeted UAE the most compared to its other neighbours. The Iranian attacks have caused huge damage to UAE’s civil infrastructure and energy facilities.

In response to these attacks by Iran, UAE has also toughened its stance. UAE has further strengthened its relations with America and Israel.
