UAE’s Central Bank, Federal Authority for Identity (ICP) and ADCB Bank have jointly launched a digital system that will allow foreign tourists to open their accounts instantly. This new system has been named ‘Tourist Identity’. This is a completely automated and digital process. When a tourist reaches UAE, his digital identity will be created at the entry point itself using AI technology based on biometric and facial recognition. After this, the tourist will be able to register his account within a few minutes through ADCB’s mobile app. There will be no need to submit any kind of physical documents or papers.
