UDAN 2.0: Approval for construction of 100 new airports in the country, air connectivity will be strengthened.

UDAN 2.0: To ease air travel in the country, the Union Cabinet has given its approval to the revised UDAN 2.0 scheme. The objective of this scheme is to provide regional air connectivity across India. (regional air connectivity) To promote. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that this plan includes developing 100 new airports and 200 modern helipads. This expansion will improve aviation infrastructure, especially in hilly and remote areas. A huge budget has been kept in this scheme to carry forward these development works. 32 new ideas have been added to the IVFRT digital process for ease of travel. Rs 28840 crore will be spent under this scheme. Its objective is to strengthen regional air connectivity and expand aviation infrastructure across the country.

‘Challenge Mode’
Under this new scheme, 100 new airports will be developed in ‘challenge mode’. Each airport will cost an average of Rs 100 crore and a budgetary support of Rs 12,159 crore will be provided for it.

The government is going to build 200 new and modern helipads across the country. It is not easy to build roads in the mountains, states of North-East India and on islands. Here helicopter has been made the main medium of movement. The government is going to spend Rs 3,661 crore for this. Aircraft made in India will get a boost. New aircraft will be purchased. A budget of Rs 400 crore has been fixed for this work.
