Ukraine captured Russian base without troops! Enemy surrenders its weapons against AI?
A shocking claim has come to light amid the Russia-Ukraine war, which has indicated a change in the picture of modern war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russian soldiers had to surrender before his “robot army”. This claim points towards the increasing power of technology and new methods of warfare.
According to Zelensky, the Ukrainian army captured a Russian base with the help of a completely unmanned system. In this operation, neither any soldier had to enter the field nor Ukraine suffered any loss. He said that this is the first time in the history of war that a base has been captured only through robotic platforms and drones.
The operation took place without soldiers
Zelensky said that ground robotic systems and drones were used in this mission. These machines understood the enemy’s position, attacked and ultimately forced the Russian soldiers to surrender. The special thing is that no Ukrainian Army soldier was injured in this entire operation. He also said that such operations can become a new model of future war, where machines will do more work instead of humans and the risk to life will be less.
Used in more than 22,000 missions
The President of Ukraine informed that in the first three months of the year 2026, ground robotic systems were used more than 22,000 times. He says that when robots were sent in place of humans in dangerous areas, the lives of thousands of soldiers could be saved. Ukraine is currently using many advanced robotic systems like Ratel, TerMIT, Ardal, Rys, Zmiy, Protector and Volia, which are designed for different types of missions.
How does this system work?
The Ukrainian Army is rapidly increasing the use of these robotic systems. At present they are controlled remotely. Apart from attacking the enemy, these robots also work to rescue injured soldiers, especially in those places where it is too dangerous for humans to go.
Dangerous robot equipped with AI
In January, a special ground robot Droid TW-7.62 (DevDroid) of Ukraine succeeded in capturing three Russian soldiers. This robot is equipped with artificial intelligence, so that it can automatically identify and track the enemy.
This robot is equipped with a KT-7.62 machine gun, with which it can attack if needed. There is a special computer system inside it, which makes the aiming very accurate. With the help of AI, it constantly keeps an eye on the enemy and takes action at the right time.
