A sensational incident came to light on Monday night in Bhogaon police station area of ​​Mainpuri district, where the dispute that started due to election rivalry quickly turned into a violent clash. The situation became so bad that the Cobra police team that reached the spot also became a victim of the accident. A speeding car hit the police bike, throwing the constable about 20 meters away.

According to the information, Naman Shakya, resident of Ratanpur Kirkich village, was present at the Talwal petrol pump along with his partner Chhotu Chauhan. Meanwhile, Pankaj, Chandraprakash, Ajay and Bhanu reached there with their friends. An altercation started between the two sides over old election rivalry and the dispute that had taken place a day earlier, which soon turned into abuse and fighting.

As soon as information about the fight was received, the Cobra police team reached the spot. Constable Jatin Kumar was driving the bike, while constable Vineet was sitting behind. Meanwhile, it is alleged that in an attempt to escape from the attackers, Naman Shakya drove his car at high speed. In panic, the car went out of control and directly hit the police bike.

According to eyewitnesses and the incident captured in CCTV, the speed of the car and the collision were so severe that constable Jatin Kumar along with the bike jumped in the air and fell about 20 meters away. Constable Vineet, who was sitting behind, jumped off the bike and stood away and narrowly escaped.

Car rammed into shop, mother and daughter injured

After the collision, the car went out of control and entered ‘Sadhana Box Udyog’ located on the side of GT Road. Sadhna Devi and her daughter Priya Yadav, who were present in the shop, were also injured in this accident. After the collision, there was chaos on the spot and the goods of the shop also broke and scattered due to which the shopkeeper also suffered financial loss.

Two accused in custody, search for remaining continues

Police have taken Naman Shakya and Chhotu Chauhan into custody, while the search is on for other accused involved in the fight. Two bikes have also been recovered from the spot.
At present, the police is busy investigating the entire case and raids are being conducted to arrest the absconding accused.
