Under-19 Asia Cup: Big win for Pakistan in the final of Under-19 Asia Cup, defeated India by 191 runs

Dubai. After the brilliant innings of Sameer Minhas (172) and Ahmed Hussain (56), thanks to the strong performance of the bowlers led by Ali Raza (four wickets), Pakistan defeated India by 191 runs in the final match of the Under-19 Asia Cup on Sunday. Chasing the target of 348 runs, the Indian team could not withstand the pressure after losing the initial wicket and were limited to runs in the overs.

The first wicket of the Indian team, which came to bat, fell in the form of captain Ayush Mhatra (two) with the score of 32. After this, India lost two more important wickets at the score of 49. Aaron George (16) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi left the pavilion after scoring (26) runs in 10 balls. After this, the Indian batsmen could not last long in front of the Pakistani bowling attack and kept losing wickets on the lines of ‘Tu Chal Main Aaya’.

However, India’s last pair took the score forward by hitting fours and sixes. During this, Deepesh Devendran played an innings of 36 runs hitting six fours and two sixes. He was dismissed by Ali Raza. The Indian team could score only 156 runs in 26.2 overs and lost the title match by 191 runs. Kishan Singh remained unbeaten after scoring three runs. Ali Raza took four wickets for Pakistan. Mohammad Sayyam, Huzaifa Ehsaan and Abdul Subhan got two wickets each.

Earlier today, the Indian team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Pakistan, who came to bat, did not have a good start and lost the wicket of Hamza Zahoor (18) at the score of 31 runs. After this, Usman Khan, who came to bat, added 92 runs with Sameer Minhas for the second wicket. In the 17th over, Khilan Patel broke this partnership by dismissing Usman Khan (35).

Ahmed Hussain, who came on the field as the fourth batsman, laid the foundation of the big target by adding 137 runs for the third wicket with Sameer Minhas. Indian bowlers made a comeback in the 38th over and Khilan Patel broke the partnership by dismissing Ahmed Hussain. Ahmed Hussain played an innings of 56 runs in 72 balls, hitting three fours and a six.

In the 43rd over, Deepesh Devendran, who was moving towards a double century, got Sameer Minhas caught out by Kanishk Chauhan and sent him to the pavilion. Sameer Minhas played an innings of 172 runs in 113 balls hitting 17 fours and nine sixes. After this, the Indian bowlers performed brilliantly to restrict Pakistan’s runs and sent its batsmen out cheaply to the pavilion.

Huzaifa Ehsan (zero), captain Farhan Yusuf (19), Mohammad Shayan (seven) and Abdul Subhan (two) were out after scoring runs. Pakistan team scored 347 runs for eight wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Niqab Shafiq remained unbeaten after scoring 12 runs and Mohammad Syam remained unbeaten after scoring 13 runs. Deepesh Devendran took three wickets for India. Henil Patel and Khilan Patel took two wickets each. Kanishk Chauhan dismissed one batsman.
