Under the Communicable Disease Control Campaign, a comprehensive cleanliness and public awareness campaign was conducted in all the development blocks and gram panchayats of the district on Friday. As per the instructions of the District Magistrate, a special cleanliness campaign was conducted in high-risk areas, in which there was active participation of sanitation workers, Panchayat assistants, Asha, Anganwadi workers and village heads. During the campaign, people were made aware about measures to prevent communicable and infectious diseases.
Under the campaign, communicable disease awareness rallies were taken out in 207 schools of the district. Drains were cleaned in 55 villages, bushes were cut at 102 places, 19 toilets were constructed and drains were cleaned at 117 places in Nagar Panchayat areas. Apart from this, 14 meetings were organized for repair of 102 hand pumps, fogging in 3 urban wards, awareness raising of 21 cattle herders and rodent control.
