Addressing the rally, Amit Shah said, “The Congress President is calling Narendra Modi, who ended terrorism, a terrorist. Kharge ji’s language has also started deteriorating due to being around Rahul Baba.” He further said that the opposition will not benefit from abusing PM Modi.

Amit Shah continued his statement with great warmth and said, “Listen, Rahul Baba… The more you abuse Modi ji, the more mud you throw, the more the lotus will blossom. We will bring UCC in the state, which will end the provision of triple talaq and four marriages.”

Kharge had given a controversial statement!

It is noteworthy that this controversy started with Kharge’s speech in Tamil Nadu last Tuesday (21 April 2026). In fact, he questioned PM Modi about AIADMK’s alliance with BJP. "Described as a terrorist who does not believe in equality".

Kharge later clarified that he did not call the PM a terrorist. What he meant was to intimidate the opposition through agencies like ED, CBI and Income Tax. BJP expressed strong objection to this statement, and also complained about it to the Election Commission.
