While giving information in a press conference organized about the meeting of Commonwealth Speakers, he said that the budget will be presented on Sunday, February 1. There will be no holiday on that day. All the MPs have been urged to attend the Budget on February 1. Earlier, the government had announced that the session of Parliament would begin in two phases from January. The first phase will run from 28 January to 13 February and the second phase from 9 March to 2 April.

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla clarified that the work of Parliament will continue as per its tradition. The main function of Parliament is to act in public interest. If there is any work of public interest and national interest, the leave of Parliament is also cancelled.

Budget presentation is also one such important task. After Om Birla’s announcement, it is now certain that Parliament will create a new history by presenting the budget on Sunday. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her ninth Budget on this day.
