Union Minister Athawale's entry in Delhi elections, candidates fielded on 15 seats, given a chance against Kejriwal

Delhi Assembly Election 2025: NDA's ally Union Minister Ramdas Athawale's party has entered the Delhi elections. Ramdas Athawale's party Republican Party of India (A) is going to try its luck in 15 assembly seats of Delhi. RPI(A) has released its list of candidates for Delhi elections.

RPI(A) has fielded four women candidates. New Delhi seat is also included in them. The party has given ticket to Shubhi Saxena against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and BJP's Pravesh Verma. Congress has made Sandeep Dixit its candidate for this seat.

Odds of a triangular contest

It is noteworthy that voting will be held in all 70 assembly seats of Delhi on 5th February while the election results will be declared three days later on 8th February. There is a possibility of a triangular contest in the Delhi Assembly elections. The main contest in Delhi elections is between AAP, BJP and Congress but some other regional parties are also seen trying their luck.
