Unknown anti-social elements set fire to the shop, goods worth Rs 8-10 lakh were burnt to ashes, complaint lodged in the police station

Shahdol- Jaisinghnagar/Gram Panchayat Tendudol: A major arson incident has come to light in Gram Panchayat Tendudol on Thursday night. The shop of shopkeeper Kamlesh Raidas was targeted by unknown people and set on fire. The victim shopkeeper has suffered huge financial loss in this incident. The family is very sad and Kamlesh has lodged a complaint in Sidhi police station in this matter.
Antisocial elements set fire to the shop
According to the information, the incident took place late night on 19-20th when the entire village was sleeping. Unidentified miscreants set the shop on fire. The fire was so severe that by the time the people nearby came to know about it and tried to control it, most of the goods kept in the shop were burnt to ashes.
The victim lodged a complaint in the police station
Victim Kamlesh told that the ration items, counters and lakhs of rupees kept in the shop have been completely destroyed. According to preliminary estimates, there has been a loss of around Rs 8 to 10 lakh in this arson. This was the main means of livelihood for Kamlesh’s family. The victim Kamlesh along with Tendudol Sarpanch Suresh Singh and district member Pankaj Panika went to Sidhi police station and registered a case.
Anger among villagers due to incident of arson in shop
There is deep anger among the villagers after this incident. People have demanded from the police administration that the culprits should be identified and arrested as soon as possible. Appropriate compensation should be provided to the victim’s family. Night patrolling should be increased in the area so that such incidents do not recur. The incident has been reported to the local police, and investigation into the matter is ongoing.
