An unidentified person died after being hit by a train in Dhanrua police station area late Thursday night. The age of the deceased is said to be around 40 to 45 years. As soon as information about the incident was received, Dhanrua police reached the spot with its team, took possession of the body and started investigation. According to the information, police received information about a dead body of a person lying near the railway track between Neema and Nadwan station. The police reached the spot and tried to identify the body, but no identity card or Aadhar card was recovered from the deceased.
Dhanrua police station in-charge Amit Kumar said that prima facie it appears to be a case of death due to being hit by a train. However, the police is investigating at all points. The body has been sent to Patna for post-mortem.
After the incident, a huge crowd of people gathered at the spot. Local people said that after the train passed late in the night, a dead body was seen on the side of the track, after which the police was informed. The police is busy identifying the deceased.
