New Delhi, 30 December. These days the discussion about Unnao rape case is once again in full swing in the country. The demand for justice for the victim has intensified from streets to social media. Meanwhile, Aishwarya Sengar, daughter of convicted former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, has made a big claim. He said that his father is innocent and has done nothing wrong. Aishwarya said that if my father even raised his eyes and looked, he should be given death sentence.
This statement of Aishwarya Sengar has come at a time when Delhi High Court had recently suspended Sengar’s life sentence and granted her bail, against which there was widespread protest. On Monday, the Supreme Court put a stay on that decision of the High Court. Aishwarya Sengar said that she has full faith in the judiciary for eight years. We are roaming around with all the evidence. If someone shows proof that my father even raised his eyes and saw, then give me death sentence. The facts of this case are being continuously ignored.
He has claimed that the victim has repeatedly changed the time of the incident. CBI has also released the CDR, which proves that my father was not at the spot. All the evidence and documents are present. He said that a different war is going on on social media. Everyone is looking at the victim’s side, but no one is seeing our side, what things we have to struggle with.
From social media to the streets, we are being called bad. My father is being described as powerful, even though he has been expelled from the party. What is happening with our family, we have to hear so much today. Only we know this. As a lawyer, I am helping senior lawyers in this case.
On the decision of the High Court, he said that in the last eight years there came a moment when we got relief. The High Court had given its decision on legal points, there also all the points were discussed. We have faith in the court. He has appealed as to why people’s sentiments are towards only one side. He refuted the statement of the victim, in which it is being claimed that there is a threat to her life from Kuldeep Sengar’s family.
Aishwarya Sengar said that she (the victim) is just making up stories, while she is under the protection of CRPF. They don’t want my father to come back, but we will never harm him. I have read on social media that we caused an accident. Whereas, the investigation report made it clear that it was just a natural accident. None of the witnesses have died. These are just the words of one person.
Aishwarya said that I absolutely believe that my father had to suffer the consequences of being in BJP. We are normal people. The victim’s family members are also powerful. We are from a village. His uncle is a history-sheeter, who absconded after fatally attacking my uncle in 2010. He returned after 16 years and a rift started regarding the election of Pradhani. All this was done to take revenge. If my father had not been in politics, justice would have been given long ago.
He further said that I also have some evidence, on the basis of which we can present our point firmly. Nothing wrong was done from our side. When the investigation in this case started, my father had demanded a narco test, but the victim’s side refused. CDRs and photographs are available, which prove that my father was not at the spot. Only stories are being created by the victim’s side.
