The tight security arrangements of Delhi Police completely collapsed on Monday, July 20, when the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) Parliament march, breaking the records of years, reached directly near the doorstep of the Parliament House. This is the first time in last many years that the police force failed to stop the protesters around Sansad Marg police station. This sudden incident, which took place on the very first day of the monsoon session of Parliament, created a stir. As soon as the news of the march coming very close to the Parliament House was received, the security forces immediately sealed the main gates of the Parliament and deployed a multi-layered security cordon inside the complex.

Police action on Rail Bhawan and Krishi Bhawan Golambar: Tear gas shells fired

To prevent the protesters from entering the Parliament House, the security forces resorted to heavy lathi charge near the Golambar of Rail Bhawan and Krishi Bhawan and continuously fired tear gas shells. Apart from this, the police had to use strong force to disperse the crowd advancing around the Press Club, Constitution Club and Reserve Bank of India (RBI). After this action outside the Parliament, an atmosphere of chaos and stampede was created on the surrounding streets, videos of which are going viral on social media. Considering the sensitivity of the situation, Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar himself is present at Sansad Marg police station and monitoring the entire area.

First day of monsoon session marred by uproar, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned

While on one hand the protesters and police were face to face outside the Parliament House, on the other hand there was a huge uproar inside the Parliament too. On the first day of the monsoon session, the opposition launched a scathing attack on the central government over the NEET paper leak and the theft of Ayodhya Ram temple offerings. Due to loud sloganeering and uproar in both the houses, the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till Tuesday.

Sonam Wangchuk’s message: Founder Abhijeet Deepke breaks fast

Famous social activist Sonam Wangchuk is leading the movement under the banner of Cockroach Janata Party demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the NEET paper leak case. On the 23rd day of the agitation, CJP founder Abhijit Deepke ended his three-day fast after receiving a message from Sonam Wangchuk. It is being told that Wangchuk has put forward some practical conditions to end the fast, after which the government invited the agitators to come to the negotiating table.

Meeting with Health Minister JP Nadda: CJP leaders put forward 3 major demands

On government invitation, Cockroach Janata Party representatives Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka came to meet Health Minister JP Nadda. In this meeting of about 10 minutes, which took place after a long wait of two hours, three major demands were placed before the government. These include the immediate release of Sonam Wangchuk, who is in police custody and hospitalisation, resignation of the Education Minister and a compensation of Rs 1 crore each to the families of the students who lost their lives due to the NEET paper leak. The government has assured to consider these demands internally.
