Unprotected US Vice President in Pakistan? Vance’s plane was surrounded by 5 Pak fighter jets
US Vice President JD Vance arrived in Pakistan on Saturday for peace talks with Iran. The splendor of his security in Pakbhum caught the attention of the world. As the US Vice President’s Boeing C-32 aircraft entered Pakistani airspace, five Pakistani F-16 fighter jets appeared to protect him. With such a huge tightening of security, Vance seemed to be a security risk in Pakistan.
It is known that Vance’s Boeing C-32 aircraft entered Pakistan’s airspace on Saturday morning. The rest of the way, the plane of the US head of state was brought in a security fence. The aircraft of JD Vance landed there today after repairing the Pak Noor Khan air base which was destroyed in Sindur operation last year. Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Army Chief Asim Munir were already present here. Steve Witkoff, special envoy of the US president, and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, came on the plane with Vance. They were welcomed by the heads of state of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, before the Iran-US peace meeting, the whole of Islamabad has been wrapped in a blanket of security. Thousands of police and jawans have been deployed. Not only that, schools, colleges and markets have been temporarily closed. It is learned that private vehicles have been banned in the ‘red zone’ areas, i.e. where Parliament, important government offices, luxury hotels and embassies are located. A number of check points have been set up across the city to ensure smooth movement of delegates from the two countries. Armed police force will be present there 24 hours. Traffic in the entire city has also been controlled. Thursday and Friday have also been officially declared as holidays in Islamabad by the Government of Pakistan.
It should be noted that Iran-America has held a peace meeting during the two-week ceasefire. Along with the US delegation, the Iranian delegation also arrived in Islamabad. It is believed that important issues such as Iran’s nuclear project and the Strait of Hormuz will come up in the discussion. Iran views the meeting held in Islamabad with great importance. Kalibaf said that Tehran is willing to negotiate. But they don’t trust America at all. This is why Tehran has made several proposals regarding the peace agreement. These include demanding an end to Israeli aggression in Lebanon and a cease-fire. In addition, America will not be able to deploy new troops or increase military power in West Asia.
