UP Accident: A horrific road accident on the Kanpur-Prayagraj highway on Friday afternoon turned a happy journey into mourning. A speeding pickup rammed into a trolley parked on the roadside near Dormaa petrol pump from behind. The collision was so strong that the sides of the pickup were blown away and the people in it started screaming.
Ramnavmi journey became a period
According to the information, all the people traveling in the pickup were residents of Badokhar village of Malwa area of Fatehpur district. He had gone to visit Kada Dham Shitala Mata temple on the occasion of Ram Navami. This journey full of reverence and devotion turned into an accident during the return journey.
7 out of 25 people died
At the time of the accident, about 25 people including women and children were traveling in the pickup. Many people were seriously injured after the collision. 7 people died while being taken to the hospital for treatment. The news of women and children being among the dead has shocked the entire area.
There was chaos on the spot
After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot. Hearing the screams of the injured, people nearby immediately arrived for help. As soon as the information was received, the police and health department team reached the spot. With the help of four ambulances the injured were admitted to nearby hospitals.

Due to the accident, there was a long jam on the highway, due to which the traffic was affected. With the help of a crane, the police removed the damaged vehicles and cleared the road. Relief and rescue operations continued for several hours.
What is the reason for the accident?
In the preliminary investigation, the reason for the accident is believed to be uncontrolled pickup and high speed. The damage was further increased due to the collision with the parked trolley from behind. However, the police is conducting a detailed investigation into the matter so that the real causes of the accident can be found out.
Administration alert, investigation ongoing
Taking this accident seriously, the administration has ordered an investigation. Besides, instructions have also been given to ensure better treatment arrangements for the injured.
