Major accident in Agra, basement wall collapsed during construction; 7 people buried under debris, two dead

Agra Building Wall Collapsed: Today, on Sunday, December 21, a major accident took place in Namak Mandi area in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, where a wall collapsed in the basement of an under-construction building. In this incident, seven people got buried under the debris, who were taken out and admitted to the hospital. The condition of four of these people is said to be critical. According to the information received, all the workers buried under the debris were warming the bonfire when the accident occurred. Police force including SDM is present at the spot.

This incident took place in Bijkauli village of Agra. 7 people were seriously injured after being buried under the debris. Two of these injured died on the way to Agra. There was mourning in the village after the accident. According to the information, Jodh Singh, resident of Bijkauli village, is getting his house constructed. A basement was made under the house.

How did this accident happen?

The empty space between the walls of the basement was filled with soil and water was left in it. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Uttam Singh, Dharmendra Singh, Sunil Kumar, Hiralal, Ramendra Singh, Kallu and Yogesh of the village were playing cards with the help of the wall. Meanwhile, due to the sudden pressure and moisture of the filled soil, the basement wall collapsed. As soon as the wall collapsed, everyone got buried under the debris. Hearing the screams, nearby villagers reached the spot and somehow took out the injured and took them to the Community Health Center.

Injured referred to Agra

Seeing the critical condition of everyone after first aid at CHC, the doctors referred them to Agra. While being taken to Agra, Hiralal and Yogesh died on the way. On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. There is chaos in the families of the deceased after the accident.

Excavation was being done without security arrangements

Local people say that without digging the basement adequate security arrangements K was being used, due to which this major accident occurred. The administration has assured that the entire matter will be investigated and strict action will be taken against the culprits. At present there is an atmosphere of panic in the village, but due to the promptness and bravery of the villagers, a major loss was averted. This accident once again points to the dangers of negligence in construction work.
