Lucknow, 25 June. Amidst the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has expanded its organizational structure in Uttar Pradesh and announced a new state team. In the list released by State President Pankaj Chaudhary, appointments have been made to many important posts including State Vice President, General Secretary, Minister and Presidents of various fronts. In the new team, the party has given key responsibilities in the organization to many new faces, paying special attention to social and regional balance. According to the announced list, 19 state vice presidents, eight state general secretaries and 19 state ministers have been appointed.
Many leaders including Suresh Rana, Satyapal Saini, Dharmendra Singh, Priyanka Rawat, Archana Mishra, Pooja Pal, Rajesh Yadav and Alok Gupta have got the post of State Vice President. Rampratap Singh Chauhan, Geeta Shakya, Abhijat Mishra, Upendra Rawat and Sanjay Rai have been made state general secretaries. Many leaders including Vijay Shivhare, Basant Tyagi, Shivbhushan Singh, Sahajanand Rai, Anil Yadav, Awadhesh Srivastava, Vijay Rajbhar, Rakesh Bind, Rahul Valmiki and Akanksha Sonkar have been included in the list of state ministers.
BJP has also announced regional presidents for six organizational areas of the state. The responsibility of western region has been handed over to Nabab Singh Nagar, Puran Lal Lodhi of Braj region, Ram Kishore Sahu of Kanpur region, Awadhesh Dwivedi of Awadh region, Ashok Chaurasia of Kashi region and Vinod Rai of Gorakhpur region.
With the aim of further strengthening the organization, Bharat Dixit has been appointed as Office Minister, Atul Awasthi and Laxman Singh have been appointed as Office Co-Ministers. Apart from this, Dinesh Pratap Singh has been made the chief spokesperson, Manish Dixit as the state media coordinator and Himanshuraj Pandit as the state social media coordinator.
The party has also announced the names of state presidents of various fronts. Rohit Mishra has been made the state president of Yuva Morcha, Prakash Pal of Backward Morcha, Devendra Singh of Kisan Morcha, Ashok Rawat of Scheduled Morcha, Saroj Kushwaha of Mahila Morcha and Vidyabhushan Gond of Scheduled Tribe Morcha.
Political analysts believe that this new team of BJP is part of the strategy to strengthen the organization at the booth level before the upcoming assembly elections, work out social equations and further strengthen its political hold in the state.
